Welcoming Brian Rose and Cory Finney to the SCAPE Leadership Team
At SCAPE, our mission has always been clear: to launch and accelerate high-growth companies in Southwest Colorado, strengthening our regional economy and supporting entrepreneurs building what’s next.
As we continue to grow that impact, we’re excited to welcome two new members to our Leadership Team, Brian Rose to the Board of Directors and Cory Finney to the Investment Committee. Their experience, perspective, and commitment to innovation will help guide SCAPE into its next chapter.
Brian Rose brings deep experience in community banking and regional economic development, currently serving with Alpine Bank after more than seven years as Deputy Director of Region 9 Economic Development District. With over 15 years as a commercial lender and extensive involvement in local boards, advisory groups, and the Small Business Development Center, Brian has spent his career supporting businesses and strengthening rural economies.
Cory Finney brings a strong background in entrepreneurship and business leadership, founding his own acquired company, as well as, serving as Entrepreneur-in-Residence at Boomtown Accelerator and Co-Founding two Colorado funds, Kokopelli Capital and Greater Colorado Venture Fund (now Howdy Partners). Cory understands what it takes to build in rural markets and how the right support systems can unlock outsized impact.
Together, Cory and Brian strengthen SCAPE’s ability to support entrepreneurs not just in launching businesses, but in building resilient, scalable companies that contribute to a thriving regional economy. Their leadership comes at an exciting time as we continue expanding programming, deepening partnerships, and creating more pathways for founders in Southwest Colorado.
We’re honored to have them on board and excited for what we’ll build together!
